Job summary

NatCen is seeking Field Interviewers for Merthyr Tydfil to conduct in-home interviews on health, housing and transport topics. The role is part-time and involves visiting people in their homes, often requiring travel by car and use of a tablet for data capture.

You will engage with respondents, explain study aims, gain consent, and record responses accurately. Flexibility for weekday, evening and weekend availability is preferred, with training provided and ongoing support from the Field

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Ability to engage with diverse households respectfully.
• Comfortable using a tablet/laptop for data capture.
• Reliable and self-motivated with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Visit households to conduct research interviews at the address.
• Use tablet or laptop to guide conversations and record responses.
• Travel to in-area projects and manage interview scheduling.
• Provide accurate, complete interview data and note any issues.
