Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Instrument Control Automation Technician to join the Hatfield-based Mill Green STW team. You will work on pumps, control equipment, actuated valves, and dosing equipment across about 270 pumping stations, ensuring efficient operation and low disruption for customers.

The role offers learning opportunities across disciplines, with a strong emphasis on fault diagnosis, scheduled maintenance, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified in instrumentation, control and automation discipline or equivalent.
• Experience with relay logic and PLCs; fault finding and programming.

Responsibilities

• Maintain instrumentation, control and automation equipment on pumps and associated systems.
• Investigate plant faults and carry out repairs to minimise interruptions to customers.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance to improve plant resilience.
