Job summary

A global leader in environmental monitoring technology is seeking an Installation Technician to support engineering projects across the UK and internationally. Responsibilities include assembling control panels, wiring installations, fitting instrumentation, and ensuring quality checks. Candidates should have a strong understanding of electrical systems and hold relevant qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. This full-time role offers opportunities to travel to client sites while mentoring apprentices and maintaining a positive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control systems.
  • NVQ, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Pneumatic experience and valid driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels and systems to technical drawings.
  • Install mains, LV, control, and communication wiring.
  • Fit and integrate instrumentation, control equipment, and analyser housings.
  • Carry out pneumatic layouts and installations.
  • Complete QC testing and resolve any defects.
  • Travel to client sites (Monday-Friday), with occasional workshop work as needed.
