You will conduct planned maintenance visits at customer sites, fit and repair structures, and use specialised tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, installation or similar role.
• Experience working on customer sites.
• Certifications such as IPAF or PASMA are advantageous.
• Able to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and overnight stays (paid).
• Full UK driving licence; over 21 for insurance.
• Able to work at height and trained.
• Enhanced DBS check required (paid).
• Works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance visits at customer sites, fitting and repairing soft play centres and replacing worn components.
• Assemble soft play structures using specialised tools (connect climbing frames, slides, platforms, padding, netting).
• Identify and fix issues during installation (misaligned pieces, gaps).
• Conduct cleaning and sanitizing activities.
• Inspect to ensure safety standards are met.

Job description

Based in Warrington (WA4 6PS), the Field Installation Technician role involves travelling across the UK to install, repair, inspect, and clean soft play and family entertainment centres. Working within a small team, you will perform planned maintenance visits at customer sites, fitting and repairing structures, and replacing worn or damaged components. Using specialised tools, you will assemble various elements of the play equipment. This full-time, temp-to-perm position offers a salary of £13.00 per hour, rising to £15.00, plus overtime. Shifts run Monday to Friday on a day pattern, with flexibility required. Prior installation or maintenance experience is advantageous.

Our client, a local manufacturing company and supplier of soft play and family entertainment centres, are looking to recruit a Field Installation Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance visits at customer sites. Fitting and repairing soft play centres and replacing damaged or worn components.
• Using specialised tools to assemble the various elements of the soft play structure, including connecting climbing frames, slides, and platforms, padding and netting.
• Identifying and fixing any potential problems during installation, such as misaligned pieces or gaps.
• Conduct specialist cleaning activities/sanitizing equipment.
• Performing thorough inspections to verify that all components are correctly installed and meet safety standards.
• Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain a professional, polite and friendly manner when dealing with customers.

Skills & Requirements

• Must have previous experience in a maintenance, construction, installation or similar type of role.
• Must have experience working on customer sites.
• IPAF, PASMA or similar certification would be advantageous.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools in a safe manner.
• Must have a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK and flexible to overnight stays (paid for).
• Must have a full UK driving licence (for insurance purposes you must be over 21 years old).
• Able to work at height where required and appropriately trained.
• Willing to have an enhanced DBS check completed (company will pay for).
• Work well within a team.
