Job summary

Voyage Education Partnership is seeking a Health and Safety professional to help turn policy into practical, consistent arrangements across the organisation. The role involves across-site inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and ongoing development of our compliance systems.

A particular focus will be supporting fire safety, including reviewing fire risk assessments, developing action plans and monitoring remedial actions to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and safety, compliance, estates or audits.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
• Strong organisation, communication and record-keeping skills.
• Fire risk assessment or related compliance qualifications would be an advantage.
• Full UK driving licence and access to appropriate transport are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical health and safety advice and support across Trust sites.
• Undertake planned health, safety and compliance inspections across sites.
• Support risk assessments and safe systems of work reviews.
• Support accident, incident, near-miss and hazard investigations.
• Monitor statutory and operational compliance and follow up outstanding actions.
• Undertake fire risk assessments where trained and competent.
• Support audits, external inspections and the preparation of assurance evidence.
• Coordinate and support health and safety training, briefings and communications.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, dashboards and action trackers.
• Support emergency planning, exercises and business continuity activity.
