Job summary

Speedy Group is seeking a Mobile Generator Engineer within its Power & Energy division, based in Cambuslang, Glasgow. The role involves servicing, diagnosing and repairing generators and power equipment at customer sites, with a focus on safe, efficient field service.

You will work independently in a mobile environment, handling faults, completing records and providing professional technical support while progressing within a specialist energy division of Speedy.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and fault finding on diesel engines, generators, plant or heavy equipment.
• Good understanding of electrical systems and diagnostics.
• Confidence working independently in a mobile/field-based environment.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair diesel generators and power generation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Attend customer breakdowns and get equipment operational quickly and safely.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on engines and electrical systems.
• Ensure equipment is safe, reliable and maintained to standard.
• Manage workload across customer locations.
• Complete service records and engineering documentation.
• Provide professional, knowledgeable service on site.
