Job summary
Tay Fire & Security is seeking an experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join our Midlands team, performing servicing, remedial and installation work across fire and security systems with occasional attendance at our Head Office in Nottingham. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge and excellent workmanship.
The engineer will service and maintain fire detection, emergency lighting, extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control, and support installation projects
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum two years' experience in fire and security industry.
- GCSEs in English and Maths required with good communication.
- Relevant certifications such as FIA Fire Detection and portable extinguishers preferred.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintain fire detection, emergency lighting and extinguishers, plus intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
- Carry out remedial works and support installation projects of varying sizes, ensuring safety and standards.
- Liaise with customers, demonstrate systems and provide training; handle on-call support and out-of-hours work.
- Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards and maintain high workmanship and customer service levels.
