Manpower is seeking a Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Service Engineer to cover York and surrounding areas. You will perform planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and reactive call-outs across fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.

This field-based role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £35,000-£40,000, and a focus on ensuring life-safety systems are compliant and maintained to high standards. A valid UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently.
• Complete repairs, upgrades, and remedial works where required.
• Assess system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Complete service documentation, job sheets, risk assessments, and reports accurately.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage company tools, equipment, and materials responsibly.
• Support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance requirements when required.
