Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking an Environmental Technician / Invasive Species Technician in Manchester. This hands-on role involves working outdoors across the UK on environmental, vegetation management and remediation projects, with full training provided.

The position suits candidates from environmental services, agriculture, landscaping, construction or related fields. Travel and staying away from home are required at times.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification required.
• Legal right to work in the UK or valid visa.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required.
• Physically fit for manual outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out herbicide treatments to invasive plant species (training provided).
• Cut, clear and process vegetation.
• Support mechanical remediation and groundworks projects.
• Assist with installation of root barriers and other site solutions.
• Operate site machinery (dumpers, excavators) with training and competency.
• Work safely around sensitive environmental areas.
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors and site personnel.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance.
