Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists is seeking a practical Environmental Technician in Manchester. The role is hands-on and outdoors, supporting vegetation management and remediation projects across the UK, with full training provided and opportunities to travel.

Candidates should have a full UK driving licence, be physically fit and able to travel, and work well in a small team. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is preferred and a driving stint is required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Must have legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out herbicide treatments to invasive plant species, with training provided.
• Cutting, clearing and processing vegetation.
• Supporting mechanical remediation and groundworks projects.
• Assisting with installation of root barriers and site-based solutions.
• Operating site machinery such as dumpers and excavators, subject to training.
• Travelling to sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
