Job summary

SEED Environmental, part of the Celnor Group, is seeking a Remediation Technician/Engineer to join the Process Remediation Team. You will work on the installation, operation and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems across the UK, delivering environmental improvements using specialist technologies.

This hands-on role suits someone at an early career stage or switching from a related technical field. Training will be provided, with nationwide travel and site-based work involved.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Hands-on and practical approach to field work.
• Good problem-solving and initiative.
• Confident with hand tools and field installations/maintenance.
• Competent IT skills and accurate data recording.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away from home.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
• Carry out routine servicing and fault-finding on remediation equipment.
• Undertake groundwater, surface water and contaminated land monitoring.
• Collect environmental samples for laboratory analysis.
• Record monitoring data and system performance using digital systems.
• Assist with pumping tests and remediation trials.
• Work with drilling contractors, tanker operators and subcontractors.
• Maintain equipment and prepare systems for deployment from workshop/yards.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and colleagues on site.
• Support delivery of remediation projects across the UK.
