Job summary

RSK Group’s RSK Response unit in Scotland is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our 24/7 environmental incident response team. The role is full-time and based in Scotland, with training provided to develop practical field skills.

The successful candidate will enjoy opportunities to learn across contaminated land, sampling, remediation and waste management, while working safely in high-hazard environments. Travel throughout Scotland is expected.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake practical outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Full UK driving license required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland and beyond when needed.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Rapid response to environmental incidents across varied settings.
• Assist with pollution risk assessment and containment with training.
• Environmental monitoring and sampling activities.
• Inspect and maintain oil storage areas and related infrastructure.
• Decontamination and specialist cleaning tasks.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles and manage stock.
• Support health and safety risk assessments on-site.
