Senior Environmental Technician – Kingsclere, Newbury, UK
RSK RAW offers multi‑disciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services, specialising in spill response, contamination investigation and remediation projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Environmental spill response to a variety of sites.
- General groundworks and construction works alongside colleagues.
- Fuel Tank inspections.
- Support and lead additional fieldwork including installation and maintenance of site equipment, and supervision of subcontractors.
- Maintenance and/or calibration of equipment and vehicles at offices.
- Stock and waste management.
- Adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate site notes, and excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.
- Maintain positive relations with current clients and interested parties by ensuring a high standard of work and presentation.
- Occasionally undertake additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Additional Information
- We operate a 24/7 response service; work outside normal operating hours may be required and will be compensated.
- Travel across England, Scotland and Wales may be required to cover business needs.
- Occasional need to stay away from home when required.
- Incident response and tank testing training is provided; additional training and development opportunities will be available.
- Collaborative working opportunities with other Response and Remediation businesses within the RSK Group.
Qualifications / Experience
- At least 3 years’ relevant experience (spill response / pollution control industry desirable; other relevant experience considered).
- Full, clean driving licence (essential).
- Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) (essential).
- Utilities / Civils / Construction site experience (desirable).
- Excavator / dumper experience or certification (desirable).
- Basic project management experience (desirable).
- BSc or equivalent in a relevant environmental field (desirable).
- CSCS card (desirable).
- First aid certificate (desirable).
