Job summary

Zurich Engineering is recruiting a field-based Engineer Surveyor for the Nottingham/Derby area to perform pressure systems inspections and provide expert opinions. You will complete hands‑on inspections, report findings electronically, and participate in bespoke training to meet regulatory standards.

Main duties include inspecting pressure, compressed air and steam equipment, reporting via rugged laptops, and travelling within your home region to service clients.

Qualifications

• A Level 4 qualification (HND / HNC) in a relevant engineering field.
• Time served or Modern Apprenticeship completed.
• Hands-on experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Background in working with Pressure, Compressed air & Steam Equipment.
• Full valid UK driving licence.
• Willing and able to work paid overtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hands-on statutory inspections of equipment within your geographic area.
• Report findings using a rugged laptop and issue electronically to clients.
• Develop mechanical engineering skills through industry-leading training.
• Communicate clearly and make sound engineering judgments.
