Job summary

UK Power Networks (Operations) Ltd in Crawley seeks a Field Engineer to report to the Lead Field Engineer within Network Operations. The role is a permanent position offering a salary of £56,576–£84,160 per year, plus a 3% bonus.

You will manage field staff, coordinate maintenance and fault works, and liaise with customers to ensure service standards. Essential qualifications include ONC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and a current driving licence.

Qualifications

• Current valid driving licence.
• ONC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Safety management and customer service orientation.
• IT literate with SAP experience and MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety management throughout responsibilities.
• Deliver maintenance, construction and fault works to time, cost and quality.
• Plan daily, coordinate and manage field staff and resources.
• Communicate with HV/LV control and update switching logs per procedures.
• Keep SAP Asset Database updated with completed work.
• Provide technical support to field staff.
• Manage contract issues with Contract Management support.
• Produce risk assessments and method statements for safe delivery.
• Perform quality assurance checks and rectify issues.
• Maintain customer relationships and meet expectations wherever possible.
• Assist other sections during organisational changes or system emergencies.
• Complete out-of-hours safety/emergency standby as required.
