Job summary

UK Power Networks is advertising a permanent Craft Attendant Jointer role based in the Purfleet area, reporting to the field staff supervisor. The post offers a salary of £37,783 plus a 3% bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 2339 (Electrical Power Distribution) or similar.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience on regional electricity networks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Observe all live LV apparatus and active conductors.
• Ensure PPE and safety procedures are followed on site.
• Deter public distractions and display Do Not Disturb signs during live work.
• Set up equipment for the Jointer, including tool layout and vehicle preparation.
• Assist with live 240/415V work following safety procedures.
• Use Field Force Enablement to issue jobs.
• Dig and assist excavation with external contractors.
