Job summary

Client Server Limited in London is seeking a hands-on Field Engineer with a focus on IT security and SC clearance. This role combines field-based engineering, network installations, and security incident response across customer sites.

You will install and configure firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and endpoints, manage migrations, document infrastructure, and coordinate with vendors. Travel 3-4 days per week with one day WFH; a UK driving license and SC clearance (or eligibility)

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless access points and endpoint devices.
• Experience with site migrations, infrastructure installation, commissioning and technical documentation.
• Experience in IT support across first and second line environments.
• Experience with cyber security incident triage, SOC alerts and remediation.

Field Engineer (IT Security SC Clearance) UK Travel to £60k

Are you a hands-on IT Engineer with a strong interest in cyber security? This is an opportunity to combine field based engineering, technical troubleshooting and security incident response in a varied, customer facing role.

Working across multiple customer sites, as a Field Engineer, you'll lead IT migrations and network commissioning, resolve infrastructure issues and help strengthen customers' security posture. You'll also investigate SOC alerts, implement remediation measures and configure security controls to meet customer requirements.

The Field Engineer role will involve installing and configuring firewalls, switches, wireless access points and endpoints, supporting first- and second line issues, maintaining network documentation and coordinating with third-party vendors. You'll also manage IT and security projects, building relationships with customers and adapting site visits around operational priorities.

Location / WFH:

You'll travel to client sites 3-4 days a week (with one day work from home). Please note you must have a valid driving license and be prepared to travel and sometimes stay overnight, with all expenses paid.

About you:

• You have a strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points and endpoint devices
• You have experience with site migrations, infrastructure installation, commissioning and technical documentation
• You have experience with IT support across first and second line environments
• You have experience with cyber security incident triage, SOC alerts and remediationYou have strong network troubleshooting, hardware replacement and third party vendor coordination skills
• You have excellent customer facing, stakeholder management and project coordination skills
• You hold a valid UK driving license and have access to your own car
• You hold SC Clearance (or able to achieve it i.e. UK citizen for 5 years plus)
