Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Field Service Technician to support critical transport infrastructure across London. You will diagnose faults, repair and maintain electromechanical rail systems, traveling to sites using a tablet-based job system.

The role requires safe, independent work within a regulated environment. We offer a company vehicle, tools, PPE, fuel and insurance, plus private healthcare and a pension.

Formación

• 1+ years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical roles.
• Full UK driving licence with minimal points (≤6).
• Willingness to work in a regulated rail environment and comply with safety rules.

Field Service Technician | Transport Infrastructure | London

Responsibilities:

• Carry out fault finding, repair and preventative maintenance on transport and gate systems.
• Attend planned and reactive jobs across the London network using a tablet‑based job system.
• Work independently while following strict safety and compliance procedures.
• Complete job reports accurately and manage allocated stock and equipment.
• Take part in team briefings and occasional depot visits.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical based roles.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points, allowing you to operate a company vehicle safely.
• Willingness to work in a regulated rail environment, including drug and alcohol testing requirements.
