Job summary
Otis in Reading is seeking a maintenance mechanic to keep a portfolio of elevator units safe and reliable across your territory. You will perform planned maintenance visits and respond quickly to issues to maximise first-time fixes.
Every day you will work within your geographical area, liaising with customers to build strong relationships while ensuring safety remains the priority. Training and modern PPE will be provided along with a company van and tools.
Qualifications
- NVQ3 in lifts maintenance mechanics or equivalent qualification.
- Holder of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong electrical engineering knowledge and safety focus.
- Excellent communication and ability to work with customers.
- Capable of working independently or in a small team.
- Comfort with electronic and digital tool usage.
Responsibilities
- Carry out 100% of elevator maintenance and service visits in your territory.
- Manage a portfolio of elevators within your defined area.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and aim for first-time fix.
- Perform minor repairs to keep systems running.
- Liaise with customers on site to maintain good relationships.
