Job summary
Vantage Consulting in Yorkshire is seeking an Electrical / ICA Field Engineer to support water and wastewater projects across North Yorkshire and surrounding areas. You will install, maintain, calibrate, and supervise electrical and instrumentation equipment on site, travelling between sites as required.
The role requires a strong electrical background with instrumentation knowledge and the ability to coordinate with contractors, project managers and clients while ensuring safety and compliance
Qualifications
- Recognised electrical qualifications or completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
- Competent to obtain water industry electrical authorisation.
- Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, commissioning or field engineering.
- Good understanding of electrical systems and instrumentation.
- Ability to supervise contractors on-site.
Responsibilities
- Support electrical and instrumentation projects across water sites to meet time, cost and quality targets.
- Supervise subcontractors performing electrical installation and instrumentation works.
- Oversee electrical works for radar and instrumentation installations.
- Perform instrumentation calibration, recalibration, loop checking and fault finding.
- Review electrical connections and wiring per specifications.
- Coordinate site activities and maintain safe, efficient operations.
- Review drawings, documentation and installation specs.
