Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to service Hänel automated storage systems across customer sites in the UK. The role focuses on electrical systems, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance, with travel to client sites required.

You will troubleshoot, install, and commission systems, maintaining compliance with current electrical standards. The position includes a company van, pension scheme, and comprehensive product training to support professional growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician or electrically biased engineer.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) Wiring Regulations certification is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical inspections on Hänel automated storage systems in line with current regulations.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance, annual servicing, and electrical repairs on Hänel units.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and control system faults, including wiring, sensors, motors, and PLC-related issues.
• Support system upgrades, including electrical modifications and software updates.
• Assist with installation, wiring and commissioning of new systems at customer sites.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, prioritising electrical fault resolution.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and health & safety requirements.
• Provide technical support and basic operator training to customers.
• Submit service reports with test results and documentation.
• Manage workload, travel, and scheduling efficiently.
