Job summary
CHEP UK Limited is seeking a Field‑Based Multi‑Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to maintain and improve automated equipment across CHEP service centres in the Daventry region. You will diagnose faults, manage maintenance activities, and drive safety and reliability improvements while working across multiple sites.
The role is field-based with a base in Daventry. The position requires strong electrical/Mechanical skills, a Level 3 Apprenticeship or NVQ3, and the ability to work
Qualifications
- Electrical qualifications required.
- Multi-skilled across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Experience in fast-paced, safety-critical or automated environments.
- Full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver proactive and reactive maintenance across multiple CHEP facilities.
- Diagnose faults and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment and maintenance processes.
- Support site reliability initiatives: identify failure modes and trends.
- Supervise contractors and issue work permits.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with CHEP standards.
