Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Compliance Technician to perform field-based property compliance checks across the Northeast, including Newcastle. The role involves regular fire alarm, smoke alarm, emergency lighting and Legionella checks, with precise record-keeping and adherence to regulations.

You will travel to multiple properties daily, maintain high accuracy, and work with a team to uphold safety and compliance standards. A full UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar duties as described in the role.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• Strong communication to tenants and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out approximately 20 tenanted property compliance checks per day across Newcastle.
• Conduct monthly fire alarm and smoke alarm tests.
• Perform monthly emergency lighting checks.
• Execute monthly Legionella water hygiene checks in occupied properties.
• Record results accurately using required documentation or handheld systems.
