Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is seeking an Outreach Navigation Worker (RSI) to engage with homeless young people in Birmingham. This hands-on, field-based role focuses on street outreach and helping young people access safe housing and support pathways.

The position requires resilience, independence, and a compassionate approach, with a significant amount of time spent in the community, outdoors, and walking to reach those in need.

Qualifications

• Experienced in working with young people - essential.
• Resilient and able to work effectively with young people experiencing complex needs and challenging circumstances.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
• Confident working independently and using your own initiative.
• Comfortable working outdoors and undertaking a role that involves a significant amount of walking and physical activity as part of street outreach.
• Compassionate, approachable and able to build positive relationships with young people.
• Able to work collaboratively with partner agencies and other professionals.
• Driving: Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Participate in street outreach to engage with young people who may be rough sleeping.
• Work as part of an Outreach Navigation Service to positively impact rough sleeping numbers and the wider support pathway.
• Support young people to remain in their homes or secure suitable alternative accommodation to prevent rough sleeping.
• Work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure young people's needs are met.
• Support young people who may have experienced complex trauma and have multiple support needs, including poor mental health, offending and substance misuse.
• Help young people develop positive social networks and the skills needed to maintain their accommodation and independence.
• Support young people in their recovery away from the streets, helping them build resilience and develop their capabilities.
