Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Water Treatment Technician for the Altrincham area. This field-based role supports environment and safety contracts, performing site visits and regular water treatment tasks across multiple sites.

You will undertake sampling, inspections, and monitoring, with a focus on safety and compliance. Travel across contracts is required; a full UK driving licence is essential and a proactive, reliable mindset is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in all of the listed water treatment tasks.
• Experience in on-site test kit analysis (essential).
• Can-do attitude.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Closed System chemical sampling and analysis.
• Cold water storage tank inspections and recommending remedial works.
• Thermostatic mixing valve failsafe checks and servicing.
• Water sampling.
• Water temperature monitoring.
• Showerhead descaling.
• Report writing and client discussions.
