Job summary

Openwork Ltd. is seeking a Training & Competence Supervisor to support quality, standards and risk oversight within our advice network. The role collaborates with Partner Firms, Advisers and Practice Supervisors to maintain high customer outcomes and regulatory compliance.

As a field-based role, you will champion continuous improvement, identify improvements, and help deliver Openwork's strategic ambitions while balancing commercial and regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• MAQ or equivalent (essential).
• Equity Release Qualification to be completed within 12 months in role.
• Maintain competence as a Supervisor and CPD/SPS/SOS status where applicable.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising Advisers and providing technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Supervision according to Openwork’s Assurance Model and Supervision Framework.
• Ensure effective oversight and engagement of Practice Supervisors where appropriate.
• Apply risk management approaches with root cause analysis and remediation actions; engage with Partner Firms/Advisors for good outcomes.
• Use MI/Data and critical thinking to identify patterns and focus Supervision priorities.
• Influence positive attitudes towards conduct, competence and client outcomes across stakeholders.
• Balance commerciality and regulatory risk in role performance.
• Plan and organize own Supervision activities to meet regulatory requirements.
