Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to deliver tailored housing support across Co. Durham and the Northeast. The role is field-based, part-time (18.5 hours) with a permanent contract, offering a salary between £25,877.80 and £34,240.03 FTE.

You’ll work with tenants, partners and internal teams to promote independence, safety and sustainable tenancies, using person-centred approaches and strong safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and respond to changing priorities.
• Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to write clear, accurate reports.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one on one support through keywork sessions and develop personalised Tenancy Sustainment Plans.
• Support tenants with complex needs to maintain independent living and review risk assessments.
• Assist with rent arrears, benefits claims and financial wellbeing; respond to tenancy issues.
• Work with local authorities and external agencies to provide holistic support and care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance and safety checks.
