Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to operate field-based across the Manchester area, driving technical sales and customer solutions in a dynamic, engineering-led environment. You will manage both new and existing clients, shaping solutions and directly contributing to business growth.

The role offers autonomy, opportunity for progression, and a generous package including commission and a £500 car allowance, with OTE above £51,000 as you expand the territory.

Qualifications

• Experienced Technical Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing engineering role.
• Background in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical engineering.
• Strong understanding of motion products (gearboxes, torque systems, inverters, drives).

Responsibilities

• Visiting customers across the North of England for machine surveys and technical sales meetings.
• Advising on and selling motion control products and systems.
• Creating accurate technical quotations with supplier collaboration.
• Re-engaging lapsed and legacy accounts to uncover fresh opportunities.
• Tracking industry trends and identifying high-growth sectors.
• Managing a structured CRM pipeline while supporting marketing campaigns.
