Ashby Finance is assisting in recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer for field-based work across the Manchester area. You will engage with customers, understand their technical needs, and translate them into commercial solutions for motion control products.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems, autonomy in managing a diary, and driving growth with leading-edge mechanical and electromechanical systems. A strong technical underpinning is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in field-based technical sales of mechanical/electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and create quotations.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers in the North of England for machine surveys and technical sales meetings.
• Advise on and sell motion control products and systems.
• Prepare accurate technical quotations with supplier input.
• Re-engage lapsed/legacy accounts to identify new opportunities.
• Maintain a structured CRM pipeline and support marketing campaigns.
