Job summary

RES, a part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking a Field Based Technical Sales Engineer to cover London, East Anglia and the South East. You will survey sites, specify systems, and manage on-site installations, with a strong emphasis on heat pumps and compliant designs.

The role requires practical plumbing/heating knowledge, heat pump certification, and readiness to travel. A competitive package and company car are offered.

Qualifications

• Plumbing and heating knowledge required, Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
• Heat pump design and installation knowledge (LCL/BPEC).
• Knowledge of MCS standards, WRAS, and G3 unvented hot water.
• Ability to translate technical data for customers.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Interest in travel to East London or Ipswich area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and produce on-site quotations.
• Commission Heat Pump systems and handovers.
• Produce room-by-room heat loss calculations and proposals.
• Provide remote technical support and coordinate with installers.
