Job summary

INDMAN is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive field-based sales across the UK paper industry. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with customers, and promote specialist valve solutions for paper manufacturing processes.

The role demands a proven track record in industrial sales, exceptional communication, and the ability to work independently in the field. A UK driving licence is required, with a strong bonus and car allowance package on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven field sales experience within an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience selling into the paper manufacturing industry is essential.
• Strong track record of business development and account management.
• Experience managing complex sales processes and commercial negotiations.
• Ability to build long-term customer relationships at multiple levels.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
• Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
• Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identifying high-priority customers and opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Developing relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
• Promoting and selling industrial products and solutions into the paper manufacturing industry.
• Generating and managing enquiries for both new equipment and service opportunities.
• Preparing, presenting, and negotiating commercial proposals and contracts.
• Managing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle and post-order process.
• Maintaining accurate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting information within Salesforce CRM.
• Providing regular market intelligence and identifying emerging opportunities within the territory.
• Supporting marketing initiatives through customer engagement and industry insights.
• Delivering accurate sales forecasts and territory reports.
