Job summary

Mercury Hampton Ltd is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to cover the Southeast region of the UK. You will manage key accounts in pulp and paper and chemicals, combining mechanical engineering insight with strategic selling to improve pump reliability and rotary equipment solutions.

This home-based role involves regular customer visits, four days at customer sites and one day from a home office, with support from internal sales engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong B2B sales experience in mechanical sectors.
• Mechanical engineering background or qualification.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps and seals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with account management and new business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage Southeast UK accounts and drive new business.
• Report sales activity monthly.
• Travel regularly to customer sites from home office.
• Collaborate with internal sales engineers for technical support.
