Job summary

100 Stagecoach Services Limited is seeking a proactive Safety & Environment Business Partner to join the Safety team. You will partner with Operating Companies across the UK, providing practical guidance on safety, sustainability and environmental matters, and supporting audits and investigations.

You will travel regularly, build trusted relationships with managers and specialists, drive continuous improvement, and coach leaders to strengthen safety culture.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
• Technical member of IOSH (TechIOSH) as a minimum.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience of conducting audits, with a recognised auditing qualification preferred.
• Experience with management systems, ideally ISO 45001.
• Experience investigating accidents and incidents with corrective actions.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, analytical and solution-focused approach with attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across sites.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a portfolio of Operating Companies, providing expert safety, sustainability and environmental support.
• Build strong relationships with managers, supervisors, Health & Safety Representatives and stakeholders.
• Deliver a programme of audits, assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide independent assurance on management systems and performance.
• Support safety initiatives and action plans across divisions.
• Coach and develop managers to apply safety management systems.
• Investigate significant incidents and identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Monitor audit findings and ensure improvements are completed.
