Job summary

Mars, via Royal Canin, is seeking an Area Business Manager to cover parts of Northern England. The role focuses on breeders and rescue partners, driving recommendations and sales value for an extended portfolio, including PRO products.

The position is field-based with weekend show responsibilities and requires strong relationship building and consultative selling skills. You will engage with breeders and rescue partners, deliver nutrition knowledge, and support mutual benefits through

Qualifications

• Relationship-building with internal departments and external partners.
• Minimum 1 year proven track record in territory sales (petcare preferred).
• Strong presentation and IT skills to support sales analysis and territory management.
• Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
• A clean driving license is required.
• Awareness of Royal Canin products and brand.
• Enjoy working around cats and dogs.

Responsibilities

• Achieve key KPIs including new Breeder Acquisition to drive recommendation and product volume.
• Identify new customer opportunities and prospects.
• Develop trusted relationships with Partners with a consumer-centric and consultative selling approach.
• Efficiently manage the territory and adhere to the coverage model.
• Follow structured sales calls with clear objectives and record outcomes in CRM.
• Maintain deep product knowledge and nutrition portfolio.
• Participate in weekly performance meetings with leadership and peers.
• Attend cat and dog shows; support show unit and PRO team.
