Job summary

Escape in North Lanarkshire is looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our mobile engineering team. This field-based role offers a competitive salary, a 45-hour week, and overtime opportunities on a rotating dayshift/backshift.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of industrial plant and heavy mechanical equipment, diagnosing faults and helping minimise downtime while developing your technical skills.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Welding and fabrication ability a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Fault-finding on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Servicing, stripping and rebuilding pumps and gearboxes.
• Maintaining high-speed rotating equipment.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Carrying out welding and fabrication repairs.
• Identifying defects and recommending corrective action.
