Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join a specialist water hygiene team operating across the UK. You will conduct detailed risk assessments of domestic and commercial water systems, with a focus on cooling towers and evaporative cooling systems, and produce clear, technically robust reports.

The role requires travel to client sites, independent working, and a solid understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274 Part 1.

Qualifications

• Previous experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments.
• Strong knowledge of Legionella control and water hygiene.
• Experience with cooling towers / evaporative cooling systems.
• ACOP L8 and HSG274 Part 1 knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Legionella risk assessments of domestic and commercial water systems.
• Assess cooling towers and evaporative cooling systems for risks.
• Produce clear, technically detailed risk assessment reports.
• Identify non-compliances and recommend remedial actions.
• Advise clients on Legionella control measures and compliance.
• Review water management procedures and control schemes.
• Travel to client sites across the UK and manage workload.
• Maintain accurate records and high professional standards.
