Job summary

Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru is seeking a Land Management Technical Support Officer to join the Land Management Team. The role is field-based with some office work, featuring inspections, GIS mapping, and collaboration with forestry operations.

You will travel to remote sites daily and support planning, safety, and project delivery. Working with diverse stakeholders, you will maintain records, meet health and safety requirements, and contribute to site improvements and visitor safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in recreation management, forestry, and/or environmental work.
• Ability to deliver work plans and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Experience meeting with landowners, the public, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Experience using GIS to map and report locations and issues.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Land Management Officer in delivering work plans and actions.
• Undertake physical/manual work in recreation management, forestry and environmental tasks.
• Meet with landowners and stakeholders to discuss concerns and maintain relationships.
• Deliver site inspections and surveys; map findings using GIS and report using DMS systems.
• Plan and deliver work across multiple sites, including in remote locations.
• Supervise contractors and carry out health and safety checks on equipment.
