Job summary

Kiwa CMT seeks a Highways Data Collection Technician to perform highway asset surveys and structural testing across the UK. You will collect, verify and update asset inventories using handheld data capture and GPS, with full training on Kiwa’s equipment.

Regular travel to client sites is required and you will represent Kiwa CMT professionally on sites. The role offers field-based work, practical training, and opportunities to develop in a dynamic environment while supporting essential highways

Qualifications

• Experience in a field-based role such as highway assets, utilities, or infrastructure.
• Full UK driving license required as you will travel to client sites.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
• Proactive approach to health, safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out highway asset data collection surveys across the UK.
• Identify, record and update inventories of street lighting, signs, bollards, signals and other highway infrastructure.
• Verify asset inventories and capture asset details using handheld devices and GPS.
• Undertake non-destructive structural testing of lighting columns with training provided.
• Record and upload survey data to client systems.
