Job summary

MET Recruitment UK Ltd is recruiting on behalf of an established food business for an experienced Sales Representative to cover a West Midlands field-based territory. You will own the West Midlands territory, manage existing accounts, develop new business, and build relationships with buyers and decision-makers.

A full UK driving licence is essential. The role offers a £30,000 basic salary plus a bonus, with a realistic opportunity to double earnings.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales experience in food, meat or FMCG sectors.
• Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in field sales, account management and developing new business.
• Experience selling to trade customers in foodservice, wholesale, retail or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Manage, retain and grow an established customer base across the West Midlands.
• Identify, prospect and secure new B2B customers within the sector.
• Build relationships with buyers and key decision-makers.
• Develop accounts and maximise sales opportunities.
• Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits.
• Negotiate pricing, margins and terms.
• Drive sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain a sales pipeline and report activity.
• Monitor market and competitor activity.
• Own territory management and performance.
