Job summary

Train’d Up in the UK is seeking an Engineering Assessor to deliver and assess Level 2–4 apprenticeship standards across mechanical engineering disciplines. The role includes working with apprentices and employers, delivering units for a major client at Heathrow, and supporting broader engineering apprenticeships across South London, Sussex, and Hampshire.

You will travel to employer sites, maintain compliance, and contribute to curriculum development while supporting learners toward End-Point

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification at Level 3 or higher is required.
• Assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA/TAQA/A1-D32-D33) or willingness to obtain it.
• Teaching or training qualification (e.g., CertEd, PGCE) or willingness to work toward it.
• Experience assessing apprentices or vocational learners and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stand-alone apprenticeship units (Mechanical Fitter & Assembly) to a major client.
• Provide ongoing guidance, coaching and pastoral support to learners.
• Carry out workplace visits, reviews and progress meetings with learners and employers.
• Prepare learners for end-point assessments (EPA) and mock/ final qualifications.
• Administer records, schedules, and ensure audit-ready documentation.
