Job summary

Boston Rose Limited in Heathrow is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Tutor/Assessor to deliver Level 3 Mechanical Fitting & Assembly training to apprentices at Heathrow and across Greater London, and to assess Level 2 and Level 3 engineering apprentices.

The role requires a recognised teaching qualification and an assessing qualification, with substantial mechanical engineering experience, strong communication and travel to employer sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified in teaching or training (AET, CertEd, PGCE) or equivalent.
• Qualified to assess (CAVA, A1, TAQA) or equivalent.
• Level 3+ Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Level 3 Mechanical Fitting & Assembly training to engineering apprentices.
• Assess Level 2 and Level 3 engineering apprentices across a range of standards.
• Conduct workplace visits, learner progress reviews and practical assessments.
• Support apprentices in developing their technical knowledge, practical skills and competencies.
• Prepare learners for end-point assessments.
• Maintain accurate learner records, portfolios and assessment documentation.
• Work closely with employers to ensure training meets industry standards and requirements.
