Clear Rod is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer / Reactive Plumber to join our field-based team across London and the South East. The candidate will perform drainage engineering and reactive plumbing, working independently and handling faults to a high standard.

We offer an employed or self-employed arrangement, with a fully equipped drainage van and a smartphone-based workflow. The role requires reliability and professionalism in residential settings.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years drainage/plumbing experience.
• Strong drainage experience essential.
• Reactive plumbing experience.
• Experience with blocks of flats and older/lead pipework.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Professional approach with customers and residents.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Handle reactive drainage call-outs and fault finding.
• Clear blocked drains, waste pipes, sinks and toilets.
• Perform drainage investigations/CCTV and repairs.
• Carry out reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Detect leaks and repair pipework.
• Work in occupied residential properties and blocks.
