Job summary

Bimplus in the North East is recruiting a Mobile Generator Engineer to maintain and service standby power equipment across the region. You will perform planned maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and repairs, travelling to customer sites with a professional, hands-on approach.

The role offers £40,000–£45,000 package, regular overtime, a call-out rota, 25 days’ holiday and a structured career path with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience working on diesel-powered equipment or standby power systems.
• Recognised mechanical or electrical engineering qualification.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the North East to perform planned maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and repairs on standby power equipment.
• Work independently while delivering a professional and reliable service.
• Handle preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and support wider engineering projects when required.
