Job summary

Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland is seeking a Data Centre Solutions Development Manager to strengthen our technical position across the UK Data Centre sector. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports, but you will influence across commercial, specification, technical, product and marketing teams to shape how we engage on priority projects.

The role is field-based and national, with regular travel to customers. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Leading technical engagement on priority Data Centre opportunities from an early stage.
• Identify sector standards, regulations, testing and compliance criteria.
• Engage with consultants, contractors, end users and internal specialists.
• Strong commercial awareness and prioritisation of high-value opportunities.
• Develop sector-specific technical content and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagement on priority Data Centre opportunities to match project requirements early.
• Build and maintain knowledge of sector standards, regulations, testing and compliance criteria.
• Identify gaps in technical evidence, approvals or certifications and navigate governance.
• Participate in industry events, forums and technical discussions to build credibility.
• Coordinate input from technical, product, standards, marketing, specification and commercial teams.
• Convert market insight into practical recommendations for solution positioning and messaging.
• Support development of sector-specific technical content and internal training.
