Job summary

Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland is seeking a Data Centre Solutions Development Manager to strengthen our technical position across the UK Data Centre sector. This is a field-based, national role covering the UK with regular travel to customers and a full UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Centres, mission-critical environments or other technically demanding sectors.
• Strong understanding of technically complex construction or building systems, ideally in mission-critical, specification-led or consultant-influenced markets.
• Confidence engaging with consultants, contractors, end users and internal technical specialists.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to prioritise effort against the highest-value opportunities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagement on priority Data Centre opportunities, ensuring our solutions match project requirements from an early stage.
• Build and maintain a clear picture of sector standards, regulations, testing requirements and compliance criteria.
• Identify gaps in technical evidence, approvals or certification that could affect our competitiveness, and push them through governance routes.
• Get involved in industry events, forums and technical discussions to build credibility and access to decision-makers.
• Coordinate input from technical, product, standards, marketing, specification and commercial teams, mobilising the right expertise at the right time.
• Turn market insight into practical recommendations for solution positioning and technical messaging.
• Support the development of sector-specific technical content and internal training.
