Orchard Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning, testing and handover of multiple fire protection projects field-based across the UK. You will manage 10-15 live schemes, coordinate engineers and installation teams, and produce concise reports for director review and client handover.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning sprinkler or fire suppression systems.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple live projects.
• Excellent reporting to consolidate complex information for directors.
• Ability to read hydraulic calculations and drawings.
• Strong communication and leadership when liaising with clients and engineers.
• Proactive issue identification and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commissioning of approximately 10-15 live projects at various stages.
• Coordinate and support Commissioning Engineers and Installation teams.
• Create clear, accurate commissioning reports for Director approval.
• Oversee commissioning from installation through testing and handover.
• Maintain oversight of progress, defects and certification status.
• Plan commissioning activities and resources to match programmes.
• Collaborate with Design, Commercial, Projects and Installation teams.
• Review drawings, calculations, specifications and requirements.
• Attend site meetings and represent the company professionally.
• Coordinate witness testing with clients, consultants and authorities.
• Ensure all handover documentation is complete and issued.
• Drive continuous improvement by addressing recurring issues.
