Job summary

Environtec is offering a Level 3 Asbestos Site Technician apprenticeship in the Chelmsford area. The role is field‑based, requiring travel across Chelmsford and surrounding areas, with a 37‑hour work week and a basic salary of £24,454 per year.

The programme includes structured training over 12 months, with hands‑on surveying, air monitoring, and inspection duties. You will learn to perform asbestos surveys, air monitoring, and clearance activities, aiming to progress toward roles such as

Qualifications

• Be 18+ and able to work in safety-critical environments.
• Willingness to travel around Chelmsford and surrounding areas as part of the role.
• Comfortable working in construction, demolition, or industrial settings.
• Willingness to follow strict procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
• Full manual driving licence is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day asbestos surveying, sampling, and site inspections.
• Assist with air monitoring, sampling and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations on site.
• Deliver good customer service to clients at all levels.
