Job summary

The Royal British Legion is seeking an Advocacy and Complex Needs Advisor covering Staffordshire and Shropshire. You will support veterans facing homelessness, mental health and related challenges, delivering holistic, person-centred support and coordinating with partner agencies.

Role involves travel across the region to beneficiaries’ homes, case management, and providing specialist advice and referrals. DBS Enhanced checks are required as part of pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• DBS Enhanced level required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex beneficiary cases with accurate records.
• Visit beneficiaries in their homes to assess needs, build relationships, and develop person-centred support plans.
• Provide specialist advocacy and refer to mental health, housing, addiction and other services.
• Collaborate with partners to coordinate support and overcome barriers.
• Travel across Staffordshire and Shropshire to meet beneficiaries in community locations.
