Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services seeks an ambitious Automation Technician for a UK-wide field role focused on gate automation systems for major utilities. You will install, service, and maintain automated gates, travel across the country, and hold a clean driving licence.

Training and career development are provided within Mitie's security and facilities teams. The role requires hands-on electrical fault finding, problem solving, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Proven background in gate automation installation, service or maintenance.
• Mechanical/electrical/electronic fault finding ability.
• Ability to solve problems and make reasoned recommendations.
• Ability to demonstrate completed work to clients and end users.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the DHF Safety Assured Diploma and survey automated gate systems.
• Support on-site by managing day-to-day site activities and resources.
• Procure materials for RHI projects and ensure quality and efficiency.
• Report defects, health and safety issues and liaise with managers.
