Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a global network test and measurement technology company to recruit a Field Applications Engineer in Belfast. The role blends hands-on networking, technical customer support and pre-sales engineering to become a technical expert across a portfolio of network testing products.

You will travel across the EMEA region up to 50% and work in a hybrid Belfast office, with a focus on delivering demonstrations, test configurations and customer training while supporting

Qualifications

• Three+ years' experience supporting Ethernet-related products or networks.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead technical customer conversations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Act as first-line technical contact for customers and partners.
• Lead the technical qualification of customer opportunities.
• Understand customer applications, networks and testing requirements.
• Recommend and demonstrate appropriate technical solutions.
• Help customers create test plans and measurement configurations.
• Configure and troubleshoot network test environments.
• Investigate technical issues and analyse test results.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and customer training.
• Help customers automate testing using scripting and product interfaces.
• Support commercial colleagues with technical expertise.
• Attend customer visits, trade shows and interoperability events.
• Travel independently throughout the EMEA region.
